For a lot of you, that actually doesn't mean a whole lot. At Princeton, Adam and Ariel were both in the same eating club, which is basically a coed fraternity. Cannon Dial Elm Club was where they had all of their meals and where they attended parties on the weekends. Adam was somewhat new to the club, and although Ariel had seen him around the club, they had never officially met. That was until November 15, 2015. Every year Cannon hosts a party for Homecoming where the club rents a foam machine and fills up the dance floor with it, thus "Foamcoming." That night, amongst the soapy bubbles, they met each other for the first time. From there Ariel asked Adam to her sorority's semi-formal the next week, then he asked her on their first dinner date, and it has been amazing ever since!
Ariel, Adam, and their Golden Retriever Lulu took a long weekend trip to Acadia National Park. On Saturday, the three of them took a hike up to an overlook of Jordan Pond. After making it to the top (Adam had to carry Lulu up some parts that were too steep), Adam took a few minutes to catch his breath and put his plan in motion. When Ariel wasn't looking, Adam handed Lulu a bandana which she proudly held in her mouth (as she often does with her parents' socks when they're at home). When Ariel turned around, she quickly took the bandanna out of Lulu's mouth and read the words "Will You Marry My Dad?" while Adam got down on his knee.
