San Diego Airport vs. Tijuana Airport

The venue is located 45 min south of the border, and just 1 hour away from the San Diego airport. For our east coast guests, we have heard that it is not possible for you to fly into Tijuana. Depending on interest, we will be helping to arrange a bus to pick up at San Diego Airport (likely Thursday, May 9th) to drive the group across the border. The return trip would Sunday, to the SD airport. Other options are Uber...yes they will drive you across! Or a rental car. For those driving across, please get international auto insurance online to cover you for the weekend. For those flying into Tijuana airport, please arrange for pick up and transport upon your arrival. Don't forget your passport!

La Misión Beach

Playa La Mision is close to our hearts. It is a beachfront gated community that the Kitch's have been visiting for many years. Restaurants are a quick drive nearby. Rentals are listed on Airbnb and VRBO. Best for: Families, driving down to Baja

Las Gaviotas

Although not an official location to stay, we know many groups who have travelled down to Baja and stayed at Los Gaviotas and enjoyed it. Feel free to explore rentals and airbnbs in this area. Best for: Friend groups or families

Las Olas Resort & Spa

If you prefer a hotel, this one comes recommended from our venue. It will have all the amenities and is near Las Gaviotas with restaurants close by. Best for: last minute bookers, small groups, friends taking bus from San Diego, or those who prefer hotels over rentals

House Or Rental

Marena Cove

Marena Cove is a gated community next door to the venue with available rentals. Nearby restaurants are a quick walk. Other condiminium communities next door such as Palacio Del Mar or Mision Viejo that may be good options. Best for: Friend groups, who may use the San Diego bus option.

Las Rocas Resort & Spa

Slightly cheaper price point than Las Olas, but just as near. If you prefer a hotel, this is another option. It will have all the amenities and is near Las Gaviotas with restaurants close by. Best for: last minute bookers, small groups, friends taking bus from San Diego, or those who prefer hotels over rentals

Bobby's by The Sea

A nearby condominium community that also takes renters, and is recommended by our venue. Restaurants are located nearby. Best for: Friend groups or families, driving down to Baja
