Marquette University is where we met and spent our college days! We recommend taking a stroll down Wisconsin Ave to see the campus, making sure not to miss Gesu church and the Joan of Arc chapel in the quad. Also take note of Olin Engineering Hall and the Physician Assistant Studies buildings—Adam and Annie spent way too much time studying there.
This is a great place to walk around and get lunch or a snack. We both particularly love St. Paul Fish Co and Adam’s Bakery. (Fun fact: we got a cupcake from Adam’s Bakery on our very first date!)
Third ward is a great area to do some shopping and is just a fun spot to walk around! Both our reception venue and the public market are located here. We particularly love Mod Gen and Broadway Paper.
The MKE art museum and Veteran’s park are right on the shores of Lake Michigan. This is a wonderful spot to spend an afternoon! Pro tip: you can walk inside the art museum and see a small part of it for free :)
This is the epicenter of the Milwaukee Bucks stadium, Fiserv Forum. You can see the Bucks/MU men's team play here, but it's also fun to walk around outside and get a drink/food!
This is the closest beach to Marquette’s campus; we went here a lot as students! A fun spot to visit on a nice day to swim, relax, or play beach volleyball. (Adam and I also love Atwater beach, which is about 15min drive north, located in Shorewood, WI.)
This coffee shop was where we went on our first date after Adam asked me to be his girlfriend! We studied, sipped coffee, and went out for dinner afterward.
This is our favorite coffee shop in MKE. We used to come here to study even before we started dating and were just friends. The aesthetic is unmatched!
This is a great place to grab a beer and sit by the river. Plus, you get a lot of beer for your buck if you choose to do their brewery tour!
This is our favorite place to eat in Milwaukee. The empanadas and sangria are *chef's kiss*.
Kopp’s custard > Culver’s. IYKYK. Do yourself a favor and get some custard from our favorite sweet treat place!
This is a fantastic ice cream shop with a lot of unique flavor options. It is within walking distance from our venue/downtown!
