We met in college through a mutual friend who was in the UW-Madison marching band with Adam. That story (which I'm thinking you'll hear during some speeches) is less interesting than the years after. Though we'd met years prior, we didn't start dating until the summer after we both graduated from UW-Madison. In true Wisconsin fashion, our first date was a quick bite to eat at Culver's before heading downtown for Concerts on the Square (an orchestra concert series on the lawn around the Capitol). We drank wine, listened to music, and played glow-in-the-dark Bocce ball after the concert ended. We've attended almost every Concerts on the Square since then. Unfortunately, not long after we started dating, Adam moved to Colorado for law school. For the next 3 years, we dated long distance. Though not easy, we made it work with an abundance of flights, driving, texts, and calls. At long last, following graduation, Adam moved back to Madison in 2018. Since then, Erin and Adam have been adventuring and growing together; playing ultimate frisbee, camping and hiking, accumulating a massive board game collection, adopting 3 cats and a dog, and even buying a home. We are excited for this next adventure to begin and thankful that you all get to join us in celebrating.
