What will the weather be like in Silverton?
Answer
The average temperature in April is between 38.7°F (3.7°C) and 57.2°F (14°C) and rains approximately 18 days, so there is a good chance it will be wet. Of course we are hoping for it to be nice and sunny, but usually it is a bit chilly so plan on layering your clothes and bring a rain jacket in case it rains during your stay. The wedding and reception will be indoors, but bring a jacket in case you would like to peruse the garden.

What time is the ceremony?
Answer
The J. Frank Schmidt Jr. Pavilion, Grand Hall doors will open at 4pm. Please arrive by 4:30pm. If you are unable to make it by then, the Grand Hall will reopen at 5:15pm and we'll look forward to celebrating with you at the reception.

How do I RSVP and when is the deadline?

We hope you’ll be able to join us for our special day. Email shelleyandadam.2025@gmail.com 'Can't wait to celebrate!' or 'Will have to miss it' by February 5,2025. Please include the number of guests attending in your reply.

Can I bring additional guests or pets?
Answer
We are unable to accommodate additional guests. We will only be able to accommodate the number listed on your invitation. If you are staying at the Oregon Garden Resort, they are a pet friendly hotel, please inquire with them about the pet policy. However, we are not allowing pets at the wedding venue. If you have any questions, please reach out.

Are there other wedding events I can attend?
Answer
On April 4th, the evening before the wedding, we will be in the Fireside Lounge at the Oregon Garden Resort from 8-10pm to hang out with family and friends that have arrived early. Feel free to join! On April 6th, the day after the wedding for any folks still around, we going to Silver Falls Brewery (207 Jersey St. Silverton, OR 97381) at 12:00pm for lunch. There is no reservation, it's more of an informal get together that all are welcome to. If you are still around and want to join, we would love to see you!

Will transportation be provided? Is there easy parking at the venue?
Answer
We are not providing transportation for the event, but our ceremony and reception are taking place in the same space. There is ample free parking at the venue and parking will be marked by signs. Please stay safe and default to a ride service or carpooling if you plan to drink. You are also able to leave your car parked at the venue until 10am the next morning, if needed.

What should I expect after the wedding?
Answer
After the ceremony, the immediate family of the couple and wedding party will be taking pictures for around an hour. Guests can make their way to the reception area where snacks and drinks will be flowing. Dinner will be served around 6:15pm, with dancing to follow. At 9:30pm the celebration at the Grand Hall will wind down and by 10:00pm will move to the Fireside Lounge at the Oregon Garden Resort for those wishing to continue celebrating with us.

What type of food will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?
Answer
We’ll be serving light snacks during cocktail hour, followed by a delicious dinner, and of course dessert. There will be vegan options available. Dinner will be served buffet style with the following options- Bread with butter or olive oil Salad (vegan) Mashed potatoes Roasted vegetables (vegan) Stuffed portobello mushroom (vegan) Chicken with kale and bacon

We definitely want to make sure you enjoy your time and meal on our wedding day, so we have considered meat, dairy, and nut allergies with our menu. There will be an ingredient card with each dish.

Will there be an open bar?
Answer
Yes, there will be an open bar including wine, beer, and two signature cocktails. There will be non-alcoholic options as well.

I can’t attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?
Answer
There will not be a virtual wedding celebration, but we will be recording the ceremony and can send the video to you if you would like. Just let us know!

What is included at the free breakfast for guests staying at the Oregon Garden Resort?
Answer
There is a breakfast buffet from 7-10am that includes eggs, sausage, bacon, yogurt and granola, fruit, rotating pastries, cereal, coffee and tea, and juice. There are no dairy-free milk substitute options. Breakfast items are subject to change. You can eat at the restaurant or take food back to your room.

Check-in 3pm, check-out 11am. Bring your bathing suit! The hot tub is open from 8am-10pm. The Garden View Restaurant at the hotel is a convenient option, but for the price point there are also many other options in Silverton just a 5-minute drive away. A quick Google search will show you the restaurants around town. Take a look at some reviews and choose your own dining adventure! The Fireside Lounge, also at the hotel, has a great priced Happy Hour for light bites and drinks 2-5pm. Check their website for more information- https://www.oregongardenresort.com/
