Vía Primavera is a street of boutiques, restaurants, and cafés perfect for an afternoon of shopping and exploring.
Pueblito Paisa is a model traditional Colombian village or "pueblo." It's a great visit for pictures, traditional snacks, and souvenirs.
Comuna 13 is a hillside neighborhood of Medellín that until the early 00's was one of the most violent areas of the city. Today, the neighborhood is a living story of rebirth and famous for its street art installations. Although much safer today, it is still recommended to visit with a local guide or with a tour group.
Medellín's mountainous geography makes it difficult for public transit to reach parts of the city. Its Metrocable system connects with city trains and buses and also provides a great way for visitors to see the city. Take the Metrocable to Comuna 13 or Parque Arví, or use it as a destination on its own to enjoy views of Medellín.
We haven't recommended visiting a mall since Hollister was a good look, but El Tesoro is worth the trip. The mall is indoor / outdoor, includes the best shopping in Medellín, lots of food options, a movie theater, and a theme park, all with beautiful views over the city.
