┈┈ ♡ ┈┈ How We Met: ┈┈ ♡ ┈┈ We both swiped right on Bumble 🐝 Jared's bio line that really struck Adahy's curiosity: "There's always money in the banana stand." It took about 2 years of dating for Adahy to finally realize what the heck that even meant and where it came from. Let's just say it's probably a good thing she didn't dig too deep. ┈┈ ♡ ┈┈ How It Went: ┈┈ ♡ ┈┈ We met in person the day after matching on Bumble, which happened to be on Valentine’s Day, 2020. That night, we watched Bill Burr, ate pizza, drank Washington apples and casually talked out the big stuff: God, religion, family values, what we were looking for, hobbies, and so on. Two weeks after meeting, the COVID pandemic hit and all of a sudden, we became quarantine buddies. At the time, Jared was working as a solo Transaction Coordinator, spending his extra time playing Overwatch, Dungeons and Dragons, and had the occasional local outings with his friends and family. Adahy was working for Allstate, spending extra time wrapping up a couple college degrees, and escaping out of town, or state, for a day of exploration and quiet, city shenanigans. We were just two confidently lost souls, colliding and merging our vastly different worlds into one. After about 5 months of hanging out, we decided it was time to take our friendship to the next level. Despite our night and day differences, we were genuinely drawn to one another, offering each other something that maybe, just maybe, could turn into forever. ┈┈ ♡ ┈┈ How It's Going: ┈┈ ♡ ┈┈ Well, it's been 6 years since then! We've become better together, and as individuals, every single year since. Jared has brought calmness to Adahy's chaos. Adahy has brought growth to Jared's comfort. Over the years, we have learned how to navigate through life in a way that brings us both incredible joy, satisfaction, love, and most importantly, gratitude. We're tying the knot in a private ceremony on July 9, 2026; exactly 6 years after we decided to go from quarantine buddies to officially a couple! We are so grateful for the beautiful life we get to share and continue building together: The people in our lives. The experiences and memories. The impacts and influences. The personal and professional growth. & For the many, many adventures to come! Through life's excitement and mundane moments, we will always find a way to be grateful for every part of life's fullness.
