Great golf course with great views.
Equinox Spa
Best place for a mani/ pedi in Manchester, according to Will (who has done extensive research). His other favorites spas in the area include Honeycomb Wellness Center (particularly good for massage), Green Day Door Spa, the Spa at Stratton Resort, and East of Equinox Spa.
Southern Vermont Arts Center
Feeling artsy? The Southern VT Arts Center has an interesting gallery and hosts creative workshops. Also, if looking at art makes you hungry, keep in mind they also serve lunch.
Orvis Fly Fishing School
The Battenkill River that runs through the Manchester Valley has many great spots for fly fishing. Check out this place if you're interested in a guide or lesson.
Dorset Farmers Market
Feeling a little unwell Sunday AM after the wedding? No better cure than some fresh kale from the Dorset Farmers' Market... Runs from 10am-2pm. Also, one of our favorite sandwich spots is hidden in the gas station right next to the Market.
Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home
Looking to take a stroll back in time? Check out the Hildene, which was the summer estate of Robert (President Lincoln's son). Has (in our opinion) the best views in the area. Carve out some time for this one... you want to "walk slow but never walk back."
Dorset Marble Quarry
Great swimming spot!
Stratton Mountain Resort
Fun activities of all kind, including gondola rides, shopping or meals at the Stratton Village (a mini Vail-like village), and downhill mountain-biking.
Killington Resort
If you're into downhill mountain-biking, Killington is the place to be. About 45 minutes from Manchester (but a very pretty drive).
Bromley Mountain, Long Trail
Moderate trail, 5.7 miles round trip. Trail head is right off route 11, just 10ish minutes from Manchester. Highly recommend!
Lye Brook Falls Trailhead
Flat, low-key hike just 5 or so minutes from Manchester with a waterfall finale. Under 2 miles round-trip.
Equinox Skyline Drive
Scenic drive up to the highest peak in the Valley. You can also hike Mt. Equinox, but be prepared to sweat because its wicked steep. Just a few minutes from the wedding venue.
