Places to see: Day 1: Pier 39 (and seals), Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square (must get a sundae!), old-time Cable Car ride (picks up in the park past the Fisherman's wharf - away from Pier 39) drops you off in the Mission usually Day 2: Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park, California Academy of the Sciences museum (worth visiting!), Japanese Tea Garden, Dolores Park, and the Painted Ladies houses around the Alamo Park, the Castro, Hayes Valley Day 3: Coit Tower, Lombard Street, Union Square, Chinatown, North Beach (the Italian District) Day 4: Embarcadero (and the waterfront), Alcatraz, Exploratorium Museum, Bay Bridge Very SF: Food trucks!
