Our story began in 2018 through mutual friends. I was in a college study group with one of Dylan’s friends, who one day told me to join their Discord server. I thought it sounded kind of nerdy, but I joined anyway. At the time, Dylan had a girlfriend, so he didn’t pay me much attention (though I like to say he noticed me right away). A few months later, in July, we finally met in person and bonded over Fortnite and board games. That night, we were hanging out at a volleyball field, and I buried his feet in the sand. He still says that’s the moment he knew I liked him. From there, we started talking more and more. It was a slow burn, with Dylan doing most of the chasing while I tried to protect my heart, but something about him always felt different. We shared our first kiss on August 23rd, 2018, and that date has always been our day. We never needed to make anything “official.” We just knew we were meant to be each other’s person. Seven years later, on our anniversary, Dylan got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him, bringing our story full circle in the sweetest way. We cannot wait to start this next chapter surrounded by all of you.
