Engagement From Adam’s Perspective

After over a year of planning and many plans falling through, I finally found the perfect moment. I knew how I had wanted to ask Alex for a long time but my love for her runs so deep that I wanted it to be perfect for her. She always told me “you could ask me right now, sans a ring and I would say yes”, but I wanted to give her a memory she could hold and cherish forever. I feel confident in saying that I believe I accomplished that. The moment that I will personally always remember is the look in her eyes when she realized what was happening. It was a beautiful sight. The lake, our cozy little cabin, the rain storm the night before and the look in her eyes will forever be etched in my mind. I couldn’t be happier or more proud to have her by my side and I look forward to sharing the love with our friends and family.

Engagement From Alex’s Perspective

We spent the weekend at Wilderness Wind Resort in Ely,MN to celebrate Adam’s 33rd birthday a little early, and little did I know this would be THE WEEKEND he would propose. Here’s what happened: Our day started like any other morning, we got up early and headed out to the Log Cabin Coffee Shop to get some morning iced lattes (they were delicious by the way). After that we went to the International Wolf Center to see our favorite wolf Boltz. We enjoyed visiting with the wolves and observing the new layout for the museum. Then we headed back to the cabin (aptly named the Wolf) to enjoy the rest of our day. Adam had some surprise beers for us to enjoy on the beach by the lake (we’re kinda nerdy about craft beers). He ran in to get our next surprise beer and he set it on the arm of the Adirondack chair I was sitting in down at the beach, it was a white labeled crowler...from Barrel Theory (his work) I thought it was weird because they are usually black or multicolored. I turned it around to see what beer it was and it said “will you marry me?” I was so confused. I turned to him to ask what it was and he was down on one knee and welp I couldn’t wait to say YES!!!
