We're getting married!

If you and your guests are interested in taking advantage of provided transportation to Antigua on Wednesday Dec 15 or Thursday Dec. 16, please reach out to Taylor (318)792-1184, Michael (318)446-8382, or Ana (318)730-3402 with your arrival and departure information by November 30. That way we have enough time to notify the transportation company and make sure everything is arranged :)

How many people can say they met the love of their life at 5 years old? I feel so lucky to be able to say I did. However, this is not one of those "love at first sight" situations, haha! I vividly remember telling my parents how Michael was mean to me one day in kindergarten, and my mom telling me, “He probably just likes you, Taylor.” But after our (slightly) rough start, the friendship that formed was like no other. We could talk about anything whenever, wherever, and for how ever long. We spent countless football games, school dances, and calculus study sessions together. About six years ago we became a package deal. Michael says he’s known since highschool but wanted to wait for “the perfect time,” and I can’t tell you how thankful I am that he was so patient! This sweet man has made all my dreams come true. We can't wait to finally be married and celebrate with our closest family and friends! See ya in Guatemala! Love, Taylor

I was laying in bed at 1 AM in the beginning of May thinking “Why am I waiting?" I ended up googling engagement rings and that's where it all started. It made sense, too, since we were leaving for Guatemala in a few weeks (I’ve always wanted to propose in Guatemala). Fast forward to me, with the ring bulging out of my pocket, walking around enjoying the gorgeous city of Antigua. We had dinner reservations for 7:00 at the restaurant in Hotel Casa Santo Domingo (or so Taylor thinks). I got really nervous because she kept wondering why Sophie was videoing her and why we were eating so early. However, she seemed clueless so the plan was still on. We got dropped off at the restaurant first to “get the table.” The best part was Taylor asking herself, “why are they dropping off two gringos first?” Without thinking, I said a friendly "hey" to the host (who I’d met earlier that day) and that's when Taylor got a little suspicious. She said she was wondering, “how does Michael know this random Guatemalan?!!” The host led us past all the (empty) tables and we get to these big double doors. It opened to this immaculate cave covered in candles and rose petals! I basically had to drag Taylor, because she was doing her typical Taylor freak out saying, “Michael what’re you doing? What? Stop it!” If you know Taylor, you know why this is hilarious. If you don’t, please don’t think I drug her into a private cave against her will… HAHAHA ANYWAYS. All I can say is that it was night I’ll treasure forever! Can't wait to see everyone in Antigua! - Michael
