San Diego Zoo
World‑famous zoo with shady canyons and tons of animals. The Skyfari aerial tram is a fun shortcut. Plan 3–5 hours.
Belmont Park - Mission Beach Boardwalk
Historic oceanfront amusement zone with the wooden Giant Dipper roller coaster, arcades, mini‑golf, and beach access. Great combo with sunset on the pier/boardwalk.
La Jolla Cove & Beach Walk
Clifftop views, tidepools, seals and sea lions (view from a safe distance). Stroll from Ellen Browning Scripps Park along the coast.
Old Town San Diego
Adobe buildings, museums, and colorful plazas—San Diego’s early settlement. Easy, family‑friendly wandering.
Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve
This is where we got engaged! Blufftop trails with ocean vistas; pair with Torrey Pines State Beach below. Parking fills early on weekends.
Pacific Beach
Pacific Beach in particular is known as a lively beach bar town—great for sunset cocktails and nightlife, geared toward anyone looking for a fun, energetic vibe.
Embarcadero (Downtown Waterfront)
A scenic harborfront stretch featuring parks, public art, and piers. Great for a bayside walk or checking out historic ships like the Star of India at the Maritime Museum.
Seaport Village
