Alexa and Anthony met as many young adults do now, online. After many common interests were shared, they agreed to meet face-to-face at a local park with their dogs. Anthony arrived at the park but Alexa was running away from him! To make a long story short, Zeke (Alexa’s loyal dog companion) did not approve of Anthony at first glance and dragged Alexa back to her car. Anthony gathered Alexa's dropped belongings for her and watched them drive off. Not to waste a visit to the park, Anthony decided to continue to walk his dog Leia and think about this odd turn of events. After numerous phone calls, text messages, and apologies, Alexa came back to the park to meet Anthony. They hit it off very well from that moment and the rest is history.

Anthony knew Alexa was the one for him the moment they met. Well, the second moment they met (away from Zeke's watchful eye). After two years of dating and great memories, Anthony began to think about the proposal and how he would do it. After receiving the blessing from Alexa’s father, Anthony devised a plan to surprise Alexa. False hints were laid to make Alexa believe Anthony would propose on Christmas Day. Little did she know that the true proposal day was Christmas Eve. With help from Alexa and Anthony’s siblings, Alexa was successfully tricked to go to the same park they first met at. Anthony was waiting for Alexa with flowers and a ring. This time, Alexa didn’t run away upon arrival, but instead said YES!
