Jonathan and I met in a pretty comical way. We actually matched on Facebook Dating. And that is completely wild to think about but, we know that everything happens for a reason and God clearly had a plan. We matched on Facebook Dating in July of 2021. We were both in tough spots of life, and we really weren't looking for anything. So we didn't talk very much and it kind of fell off. But.... Sometime mid August, he met me in person at the Toyota Dealership where I worked at. And since that moment, we haven't stopped hanging out. Never really spent a moment apart, except when we were working or sleeping. On September 7th, 2021, Jonathan officially asked me to be his girlfriend. Of course, I said yes. As time went by, Jonathan was still living with his parents in Caswell County and I had an apartment in Greensboro. We managed the kind of long distance relationship, until we moved into our first apartment in May of 2022. We stayed in Greensboro a while, but we decided after a few months, it was time for us to move a little closer to where we plan to be! We moved into our first little trailer in August of 2022, and are still going strong. From here, we want to build a barndominium and have a dream home to raise a family in. The Proposal: So, a LOT of people have been asking for the details. Well, to be completely honest, I have known this was around the corner, we had a talk about it about a year ago. But, he tricked me and took me to the jewelry store in like February and told me it was bout to happen! But then it didn't happen til June, he pulled my leg, but the day of it was so beautiful. June 9th, 2024; literally one of the best days of my life. We went to church that morning, and then after church, he took me to the duck pond at Elon University "because we never do much couple stuff together" his words not mine haha, they have these swings there that overlook the pond. Preface, I love swings! We went to sit on the swing and he gets me to pick a note off the ground and it said " I want to swing with you forever." And I turned around and he was on a knee. Long story short, I cried 4 separate times in a matter of 30 minutes. Also, the magnificent Christine Benz, popped out of the trees, and she got the whole thing candid! So so grateful that I was able to experience this and so grateful for the man I get to spend the rest of my life with. -K 💕
