We Got Married

Hi All, We are saddened by all that is going on in the world. With everything happening and numerous restrictions put into place, our wedding day plans were unrealistic. As most of you are well aware, we have canceled our wedding gathering entirely. We apologize to those who have booked trips and made special accommodations. However, we feel this is the best option for us. With that said, we are happy to announce that we have decided to follow our hearts and get MARRIED as planned. See below for the full story. Thank you for all your love and support. We can't wait to celebrate with everyone. Love, Aidan and Achelle

Our Spontaneous Wedding

Covid-19 Be Damned

April 10th arrived and our hearts were heavy. On a day that was supposed to be full of joy and love, we were quarantined from the rest of the world saddened by the fact that our wedding celebration was indefinitely postponed. For 10 months we had had our hearts set on this date and it was hard to believe we weren't going to be able to get married. In an attempt to cheer me up Aidan told me to put on my dress. He thought it would be nice to take a drive, find a beautiful spot, and take pictures to send to our families. But after we were both dressed Aidan looked at me and said, "we need to have our day". Full of emotion and spontaneous energy, we called our parents and asked them to meet us at Lovers Leap in Waco, TX. The park was beautifully green and sunny. My father who was previously ordained and was therefor able to officiate our ceremony. The rest of our family stood at a 6 foot distance. We said our vows, placed rings on each other's hands, and kissed in celebration. A few drinks, a couple toasts, and our first dance made the day feel real. Although it wasn't the wedding we planned, it was a day full of joy and love. We couldn't have asked for anything more. We are so excited to announce that we are officially HUSBAND and WIFE.

A Little Story

From Little Deli to Little Wedding

In April 2016, Achelle started a new job at The Little Deli and Pizzeria in Austin. Her first day there she met the man who would become her best friend’s husband. Her second day there she met Aidan Jones. The two quickly became friends; excited for shifts when they would get to work together, excited for times shared at the bar, and really just excited to know one another. It was in late June of 2016 when Aidan nonchalantly suggested a friendly hike along the Austin Greenbelt. The day started early. Just the two of them. They hiked along the belt, swam in the water, and talked about their lives. The day passed quickly, moving from a friendly hike to a flirtatious dinner to their first kiss. They both went home with butterflies. Time passed and the couple grew close. He wrote her songs and she wrote him stories. He played her songs and she learned to sing along. He cooked her dinner and she helped do his laundry. They shared their stories, they met each other’s families, and they held fast through the tough times. To put it simply, they fell in love. On June 2nd 2019, Aidan took Achelle to their favorite hiking spot. With their best friends and beautiful fur-baby close by, Aidan played his guitar. He sang “Never in my Wildest Dreams” and got down on one knee. She said “Yes”.
