We met on the very first day of college — not in a classroom or at a party, but in the basement of our dorm hall, painting brick door stoppers. It was simple, a little random, and completely unforgettable. Something about that moment felt different, like we had just met someone we were always meant to find. From the start, it was easy. Fun. Natural. Our first date took us to the library, but what we remember most is running back to our dorm, holding hands, and laughing in a torrential downpour. We were soaked, smiling, and somehow already sure: this was something real. We quickly became inseparable — filling our college days with inside jokes, walks around campus, and late-night McDonald's runs for french fries and cookies. It didn’t matter what we were doing, as long as we were doing it together. Now, seven years later, life looks a little different — a little quieter, a little cozier — but just as sweet. Our nights are often spent curled up on the couch in our apartment, snuggling our cat, Tugboat. We love playing video games, going for drives, or combing the lake shores for sea glass. It's a love built on small moments and shared laughter, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. On October 25th, 2024, Ryan proposed to Alyssa with a trip back to where it all began — our college town, La Crosse. We spent the day reminiscing, revisiting the places where we first fell in love, and reliving those precious firsts. It was the perfect way to mark the beginning of forever.
