Why is your wedding reception one year after your wedding?

Answer

Ace and Lea preferred to have a very small, intimate ceremony as quickly as they could! Due to this, it was impossible to have as big of a wedding as they would have liked. Having a big reception later on is something they are both very excited for.

Will this party be similar to a regular wedding reception?

Answer

Nope! This event is going to be more laid-back. Our time will be filled with visiting guests, toasting cold drinks, eating good food, speeches from friends, 70s music, and various wedding games placed around the venue.

What kind of food and drinks will be available?

Answer

We look forward to serving hot beef and pulled pork sandwiches, fried cod, vegetarian lasagna, and broasted chicken for main dishes. Side dishes include German potato salad, potato pancakes, pasta salad, and veggie trays. Desserts will be key lime pie, coconut cream pie, banana cream pie, and various cheesecake flavors. All food will be made by the talented cooks in the Union Park Tavern kitchen!

What is the preferred dress code?

Answer

This party is CASUAL! Please wear whatever you will be most comfortable in. Feel free to wear your loudest, funkiest, most colorful, and glittery clothes you have.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

This is an open-house style reception, so you are free to come to Union Park Tavern any time after 4:00pm and stay as long or little as you would like. Look at the "Event Information" page to see the schedule of the day if there is something you don't want to miss!

There is plenty of space both inside and outside for celebrating.
