We're Getting Married!

Frida Kahlo and Batman's Two-Face don't have much in common, but they were what Ana and William dressed as for Halloween in 2011. Why is this important? Well, because the day after the weekend festivities the Aquinas College Habitat for Humanity Club was scheduled to visit Klackles Apple Orchard for some fall fun. The president of the club, Emily McAfee, lived with Ana and invited her to come along with the group. Even though both girls were out late the night before, they managed to leave their costumes at home and swiftly recovered to meet the group at 10am as planned. At 10:20am the club was still waiting for one last person to show up, the Vice President/ Emily's "Right Hand Man"/William Fox. After a few phone calls, Emily alerted the group that William was on his way. 10 more minutes passed and finally, William showed up. Not only did he look like he just rolled out of bed, his Halloween costume was partially intact. Half of his normally blonde hair was spray painted bright red, and his face still had face-paint residue. Talk about first impressions! William’s attire didn't scare Ana Cristina away. She noticed a clever Moosejaw bumper sticker on his car, and struck up a conversation about the "East Side" of the state. They soon realized that they had been to many of the same concerts, movie theaters and book stores growing up in Metro Detroit. They finally made plans to meet up again, this time to play Battleship in Business Casual attire. She sunk his battleship and the rest is history.

5, 4, 3, 2, 1, HAPPY NEW YEARS! Seconds after we rang in 2018 and surrounded by all our most important people, William took a knee and asked Ana "Will you be my wife?!" Feeling all the feels, AC nodded her melon and responded with "I WILL!". In one swift move, William turned to his audience and did a celebratory fist pump. We all toasted with champers and then the future Mr. and Mrs. Fox took to the stage, boogieing down to the Halls & Oats classic: You Make My Dreams (come trueeee)!

Our wedding will be taking place in Grand Rapids. Our story started there and we couldn't think of a better place to celebrate this special occasion. So mark your calendars because we would love for you to come and celebrate with us!
