Annika “Sweden” and Acacia became best friends soon after meeting at Mosaic Church in 2020. Annika and Acacia push each other toward Jesus by encouraging and challenging one another often. They certainly have a iron sharpens iron relationship. Annika is intentional, driven, vivacious and festive. You’ll find them on a random evening running around the Disney resorts or some other exciting new trail in the city.

Emily and Acacia met Freshman year at GCU. They would spend their college days seeking the Lord through ministry and church, exploring pheonix, and eating dinner together. A year post-college, Emily came to visit Acacia in Florida. During that trip she met her husband, Austin Squires (another groomsmen). Since then, Emily has moved to Florida and even became Acacia’s co-worker for 2 years. Emily is encouraging, passionate, empathic and committed. A playlist on Acacia’s Spotify was made after her and Emily’s favorite windows-down sunset drive through pheonix.
Kellie Kent

Kellie and Acacia have been close since early high school. They spent a lot of time together at youth group and on walks after school. Even though Kellie stayed in Oregon, her friendship with Acacia has only gotten stronger over the years. She is loyal, consistent, fun and humble. While visiting Oregon, Acacia loves going over to Kel’s home to spend time with her and her husband, Austin. These evenings are filled with lots of laughter and companionship.

One night at community group in 2019, Annika and Acacia hit it off and have been tight ever since. Their conversations are always filled with depth, wise words and joy. Annika and Acacia have walked through hard and celebratory seasons hand in hand. Annika is selfless, fun, devoted and cheerful. Out of all the days Acacia has visited Disney World, her day with Annika Jonker in 2021 was the very best. Every hour became sillier and sillier, that is a day Acacia wishes she could re-live.
Christine Bailey

Christine is Acacia’s younger sister. One of the sweetest parts of their relationship is that they’ll always find something new or seasonal to do together. Christine is passionate, intelligent, adventurous and outgoing. Acacia and Christine grew up watching morning movies together while cuddling with their dog Cindy. To this day Acacia looks forward to getting dressed up, going to church, and enjoying other family traditions with her every Christmas Eve!
Emmy Vaughn

Emmy is Davis’s younger sister. When Acacia and Emmy met in 2020, they quickly found out they were extremely similar. Acacia got to attend Emmy’s wedding a few months later. She is inviting, kind, hard working and lively. In the fall of 2020 Acacia and Emmy got to go to Cabo San Lucas together with some friends. They loved bouldering and beachin’ together under the Mexico sunshine.
Hannah Adams

Hannah and Acacia met each other in 2nd grade, but they didn’t become friends until middle school when Acacia randomly invited Hannah to go to a theme park with her. As the years went by they two of them become best friends. Hannah has been a very influential person in Acacia’s life. She has helped her learn what it’s like to follow Jesus with conviction and devotion. Hannah is steadfast, deep, genuine and funny. While in Oregon, you can find the two of them wondering a park, coffee in hand talking and laughing for hours on end.
Lydia Pittman

Lydia and Acacia met in community group at Mosaic in 2018. Although they’ve lived together for 4 years now, they are much more than roommates, they’re also best friends. Anyone who knows Lydia knows she is one of the most special people you’ll ever meet. She is empathetic, selfless, authentic and spunky. Reminiscing on long dives with a Lydia brings Acacia joy. If you see them in a car on some highway you’ll see them either jamming to some good tunes or having some great conversation. They’re probably also headed down to Vero Beach to visit Lydia’s family, or taking a spontaneous trip to Miami.

Maggie is Davis’s older sister. Acacia and Maggie met in 2020 at Emmy’s wedding. It was such a joy to meet Maggie because she was so welcoming. Talking to her is like a breath of fresh air. Maggie is servant hearted, altruistic, positive and gracious. Acacia enjoyed spending time with her and her 4 little kiddos in Tennessee this summer. Maggie is so good at celebrating those around her.
Tori Murphy

As her only girl cousin, close in age, Tori and Acacia spent their childhood together. They shared birthday parties, had wheel chair races at grandmas, and explored each other’s hometown. She is thoughtful, reliable, ambitious and a great friend. Meeting Tori on a whim in NYC in 2018 is a trip Acacia will never forget.

Victoria and Acacia met in 2018 at Mosaic through a mutual friend. It didn’t take long for them to become friends themselves. Victoria is such a good friend to the people she loves. She is such a balanced person, making you laugh in one moment with her one-liners, to speaking life over you in the next. Vic is faithful, generous, patient and sociable. You’ll find Acacia and Victoria on the pickle ball court playing until the lights go off.

Bink is my brother in every sense of the word. He has been there for me through thick and thin. Life is sweet when you have family like Bink.

Austin is my cousin but he feels more like a brother. Of all my friendships Austin is the one who knows my struggles and victories more than anyone else. I am thankful for how he has walked with me over the years and pushed me to the Lord.

Austin and I played golf at Cincinnati together. We also pursued pro golf together. After making tens of dollars the Lord had different plans for me…Austin is still out there crushing it. More importantly, Austin has been a dear friend through some really formative seasons. He has reminded me of truth countless times and pushed me to know Jesus more.

Blair is one of my best friends in Charlotte. We have cultivated our friendship around golf and the Lord. We have been there for each other through seasons of change.

Christian Vining was my college roommate for all four years. There is no one who has made me laugh harder than this man. Too many stories to count. I respect Christian for the husband and father that he is. In many ways he has pushed me to be a better man.

Hays and I played college golf together at Cincinnati. I am so thankful for how he has never been afraid to ask me the hard questions while at the same time encouraging me to have more fun in life. Hays is one of my friends that when we talk on the phone both of us lose track of time.

One of my oldest friends. Jared and I went to high school together and spent almost everyday playing golf after school. Jared has been a constant for me even when life has taken us different places.

Micah and I grew up together in Nashville. Our parents are still great friends. We reconnected two years ago when I moved to Charlotte. Micah loves Jesus deeply and is winsome and easy to be around. I am thankful for our friendship that’s a perfect mix of fun and seriousness.
