The dress code for our wedding is black tie. We're excited to see all our family and friends dressed up! Our wedding will be fully outdoors in Santa Ynez. While afternoons may be warm, evenings can be cold and windy. Guests may wish to bring a formal coat, shawl, or wrap to stay comfortable throughout the evening. Please no jeans.
Yes, the ceremony will take place outdoors on a mix of surfaces, including grass, gravel, and stone pathways. For comfort and ease, we kindly suggest that ladies avoid thin heels or stilettos, as they may sink into the grass or catch on uneven ground. Wedges, block heels, or dressy flats are lovely options. Gentlemen may wish to wear dress shoes.
October in Santa Ynez is typically mild and pleasant, with daytime temperatures often in the low to mid-70s°F (around 21–24 °C) and evenings cooling into the 50s°F (around 10–15 °C). As the sun sets, a light jacket or wrap is a great idea for comfort.
We are having an “unplugged ceremony” (no phones or cameras). The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present as we say “I do”, we hired professionals to capture this special moment for us and we promise to share our photos and video as soon as we receive them. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you’d like!
Smart casual attire is requested. We suggest polished, comfortable looks such as sundresses, midi dresses, skirts, blouses, or collared shirts with trousers or dressy denim.
Limited transportation will be available for the welcome dinner. There is ample parking at the venue, and guests with cars are encouraged to drive.
We listed recommended accommodations on the Accommodations & Travel page, including nearby inns and hotels. Availability is limited, so we encourage booking early.
Please RSVP through our website by the date listed on your invitation. Formal Invitations are to follow. Regretfully, we are unable to accommodate responses received after the deadline.
