FAQs

Please review the details below for helpful information about the wedding weekend. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!”
Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please mail in your RSVP to be received no later than July 12, 2026.

Question

Do I need a car?

Answer

Downtown Newport is very compact and walkable, so a car isn’t necessary for most visitors. Ubers, taxis, and sightseeing trolleys are readily available and make getting around easy. If you plan to extend your trip and explore beyond central Newport — to spots like Block Island, Watch Hill, Narragansett, or even Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, and Cape Cod — renting a car may be worthwhile. Please note that parking in downtown Newport can be limited, especially during the summer season.

Question

Will there be transportation provided to the events?

Answer

We will have shuttles available to pick up at your accommodations and bring you to the wedding venue on Saturday. Shuttles will be available at the end of the night to bring guests back to their accommodations. Transportation is not provided for the Welcome Party on Friday, however. The Lobster Bar is centrally located in Newport and is an easy walk from most hotels. Ubers and public parking lots are also easily accessible. Those who want to drive themselves, there is complimentary valet at the wedding venue, but parking is very limited.

Question

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

Welcome Party: Coastal Attire. Have fun with sundresses, lightweight separates or cocktail dresses. Dress shirts with khakis or other slacks are appropriate for the gentlemen. Jackets and ties are optional. Please no jeans or sneakers. Need a little more guidance? Here's what we'd wear if we were guests: Abby: A floor-length or midi summer dress with a fun print, or a patterned jumpsuit, paired with sandals or a low kitten heel. Evan: A nice polo or button-down with dress pants, or a blazer with a polished T-shirt and tailored pants.   Wedding: Formal Attire. We suggest dark suits and ties for the gentlemen and full or mid-length dresses for the ladies. Our ceremony and cocktail will be on the grass, so block heels or wedges are encouraged. Need a little more inspiration? Here's what we'd wear if we were guests: Abby: A floor-length dress in a vibrant color or playful print with block heels or a kitten heel. Evan: A navy tuxedo and bow tie, or a dark suit and tie. Our biggest request: Have fun with it! We’d love for guests to embrace color, prints, and personal style while keeping the overall look formal. Think elegant and festive rather than strictly black-and-white.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place on the lawn followed by dinner under a tent. Late night dancing and festivities will continue indoors.

Question

Are Children Invited?

Answer

While we very much love your children, this event is for adults.

Question

Do you have recommended babysitting services?

Answer

If you’re traveling with little ones, there are several trusted local babysitting services in the Newport area. Our wedding planner suggests Newport Nannies who have an outstanding reputation and specialize in babysitting services for families travelling into town for weddings and events.

Question

Will there be an After Party?

Answer

Our After Party will take place at our wedding venue and transportation will be provided to bring guests back to their accommodations at the end of the night.

Question

Are pictures allowed during the ceremony?

Answer

We request an “unplugged ceremony” with no phones, cameras or videos. We are excited for our wonderful photography and videography team to capture this special moment.

Question

Will dietary restrictions be accommodated?

Answer

Yes, your dietary restrictions and allergies will be noted to our caterer. Please indicate all dietary restrictions or allergies on your RSVP card.
