Curious FAQs

Question

What is a commitment ceremony?

Answer

Our romantic non monogamous relationship has escalated to lifelong partnership. This ceremony is our declaration to each other and our loved ones that we vow to stay together through the ups and downs of life and relationship. And an opportunity to ask our community for help along the way.

Question

What is Non-monogamy?

Answer

We practice ethical non-monogamy. For us, this means we each have the mental and emotional capacity to have more than one serious committed relationship. Our commitment to each other does not limit fostering new commitment with others. The way we chose to love each other is not limited by growing loving relationships with friends, family or other romantic partnerships, also known as a relationship anarchy style of non-monogamy.

Question

How is this different from getting married?

Answer

We feel a commitment ceremony is an intimate experience distinctly removed from governmental and historical religious contexts. We choose to separate legal oversight from the celebration of our bond of love and willingness to be with each other for life.

Question

What Do I wear? Is there a theme?

Answer

Yes! Our theme is abundant love with a forest fairy vibe, our colors are white and light green shades. You can dress in faery themed attire you feel comfortable in. Also we will be having a color festival in which a non- toxic, environmental safe powder will be available for guests to throw. So wear something you feel good with getting covered in colors, these will wash out. Please feel free to come in what makes you feel safe and happy to celebrate with us, even if it is not quite on theme.

Question

Are kids invited too?

Answer

Yes, small faeries are welcome! Please RSVP for your children on the RSVP tab.
