Our Wedding

Love is patient, we are not

Due to the pandemic, in the beginning of 2020 we made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding to July 9th 2021. However after making that choice, we realized that we didn't want to wait any longer to finally be husband and wife. We chose to officially get married on our original wedding date, June 19th, 2020. Surrounded by our immediate family and some of our bridal party, after 8 years together, we became the Abruzzos! The ceremony was a labor of love from our family and friends who helped us pull it all together in a few weeks time. We greatly missed having all of you there to celebrate with us. While we are sad that we have had to make the decision not to have the grand wedding we had been anticipating, the most important part is that we are finally able to share in our love together as husband and wife. All our love, Josh & Kodie

Our Story

6/19/20 --> 7/9/21

Josh and Kodie went to both middle and high school together, but didnt become friends until their senior year in sociology class, where they both preferred to talk instead of listen to their teacher. They pretty quickly became more, and a few months later Josh asked Kodie to prom. After some coaxing, he also asked her to be his girlfriend. They spent all four years of college apart, with Kodie at Michigan State and Josh at Siena Heights-- but not too far as Kodie came to cheer Josh on in lacrosse almost every game. Josh proposed in April 2018 on Easter (and, coincidentally, April Fool’s Day) after 6 years together with an Easter egg hunt where Kodie’s ring was hidden in a golden egg. Shockingly enough she genuinely did not see it coming! With all the events of 2020 unfolding, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone our wedding until 2021. In anticipation of our big day, we’ve created this website to gather all of the information you’ll need to stay up to date with our wedding. We want to thank you all so much for being patient and continuing to save our new date. We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you in July 2021! -Josh & Kodie
