Tony and I met in the summer of 2016 after a car mishap (of course) My car transmission blew (which eventually lead to the motor blowing after more irresponsibility) and Tony swept in and saved the day. After 5 hours and multiple stops we had a makeshift fix on the transmission and hit it off immediately... Then proceeded not to talk for 4 months. Come November 2, Tony called me and asked if I'd accompany to him to the Marine Corps Ball. When was it?? November 5th. (can you say backup?) that night we completely hit it off for the second time, and have been inseparable since.
After buying the ring in early September, Tony had decided to wait and propose until our two year anniversary to propose. Once he came home late September for leave before deployment, that plan changed. This boy was impatient, and he was ready to propose ASAP. I had given him two guidelines; that I wanted it simple and I wanted photos of it happening. So, he decided to make me plan the entire thing without knowing. I had planned to get photos taken while he was home, and he proposed on Kirk Park Beach in West Olive on September 28, 2017. As much as I make fun of him for piggy backing off of me, it truly was perfect and I wouldn't have asked for anything more or less! Photos by Amy Kopec
