There is an airport directly on the island, which we highly recommend if booked early. Several airlines offer direct flights from the following cities: Boston, Chicago, New York (JFK), New York (LaGuardia), Newark NJ, and Philadelphia.

Ferry Shuttles

Ferry bookings for August 2026 open on January 27, 2026. Two ferry lines (Steamship Authority & Hy-Line Cruises) operate between Hyannis (Cape Cod) and Nantucket. Both lines offer high-speed passenger routes (1hr). The Steamship Authority also offers routes with a vehicle (3hr). Both ferry lines offer paid parking lots at the ferry port and we highly suggest traveling to the island without your vehicle. In this case, please look into purchasing your parking ticket online in advance. A third ferry line, SeaStreak, operates directly between New Jersey, New York, and Nantucket.

We understand that traveling to Nantucket can be very expensive, and we can't express how grateful we are for our friends and family who can make the trip to celebrate with us. We did extensive research to find the best accommodation deals available to help our guests as much as we possibly can. At the same time, we don't want to restrict any of our guests and welcome you to stay anywhere you'd like on the island. Due to the nature of Nantucket, most of the hotel options are small B&B-style homes. The hotels downtown have an average of 10-20 rooms, with one or two rooms at a decreased rate per hotel. You can find these rooms discounted even further from third-party sites like Hotels.com, Expedia, etc. We strongly recommend that you look first! Keep in mind, these discounted rooms will sell out quickly! Other hotels we recommend for our guests to look into are: The Barnacle Inn, Jared Coffin House, Hotel Pippa, Cliff Lodge, and the Faraway.
