We're getting married!

We met after being set-up by a friend/coworker. Dan first heard of Megan at a Super Bowl party that year. Initially, we started messaging on Facebook. After mutual approval, we progressed to text messaging two days later, and thirteen days after that, we went on our first date. Dan struggled to find Megan's apartment and was running fashionably late- stressing the details of course. Dinner was in downtown Milwaukee at the Wicked Hop (no reservations!?). Fortunately, the wait was not nearly as long as initially presented, and a Redwings hockey game on TV sparked discussion. From there, we went to Ale Asylum on Old World 3rd Street and chatted straight through until bar close- the conversation, drinks and laughs were flowing naturally. Nervously hoping to end the night perfectly, Dan didn't walk her to her door, but they both had a fun time, and Megan was impressed enough to ask Dan on a second date. He made his friends jealous when they heard she asked him to an Admiral's hockey game the next weekend- formerly at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Sparks flew and we knew we were onto something...

We were on a date at the Milwaukee Art Museum, walking around downtown by the lakefront, and generally enjoying the beautiful summer day. Dan waited until he found the perfect spot and timing- walking around all day with the weight of that rock in his pocket. We finally got a moment to ourselves. The world seemed to stand still as he got down on one knee and proposed. She said yes, he became the luckiest guy in the world and the rest is history!
