When the COVID-19 pandemic began, everyone was forced to be indoors and isolate themselves from others. Abram and Anna’s friends had a different idea. They decided to have weekly worship nights in the Meadow behind Great Oaks Community Church. Anna and Abram didn’t know each other at this point, but had many mutual friends. The first time they had met was during the very first Meadow Worship in May 2020. Abram noticed quickly how cute Anna was, and Anna was impressed with Abram’s ability to play the acoustic guitar. The two did not pursue each other until July 3rd, later that year. During a 4th of July celebration, Abram took notice of how well Anna was liked and how pretty she really was. Abram’s first move was asking her to “switch hats”. She wore his white Miracle Camp hat, and he wore her blue bucket hat for the remainder of the celebration. After this, Abram and Anna went to Miracle Camp for the High School week. Before they left, Abram had expressed interest in Anna, and the interest was reciprocated. Once they came back from camp, Abram asked Anna to accompany him while he worked at a local Disc Golf tournament in August 2020. From then, Abram and Anna began hanging out with one another, and eventually Abram asked Anna to be his girlfriend on October 30th 2020.
Right after the wedding, on May 31st, Anna and Abram will be traveling to Columbus, Georgia, where they will live for the next 9-12 months. As a newly commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army, Abram will attend the Infantry Basic Officer Leadership Course, followed by Ranger School at Fort Benning, GA. Anna will be working in Columbus, GA while Abram finishes his training. They are excited to live in a new place and explore the area together! From there, they are unsure where they will end up but Italy and North Carolina are at the top of their list of places to live. They are excited for this next season in their lives and eager to see what God has in store!
