Beach day

Where? Holmes Beach, 77th Street Entrance When? Friday 4/25/25, we will have cabanas and chairs set up from 9 am - 12 pm, of course people are welcome to stay longer if desired :). Getting there? The entrance to the beach is 1.5 blocks from DayDream (207 77th St; Holmes Beach). There are a few parking spots available at the beach entrance. If you are staying on the island we highly recommend catching the FREE Island MCAT AMI trolley to the Gulf Drive/78th St or Palm/76th St stops. Parking is also available at CrossPointe Fellowship (8605 Gulf Dr) which is about a 5-10 minute walk. Details? We will have coolers with water and other NA drinks on the beach for folks to enjoy. In addition, there will be a cooler and a refrigerator in the garage at 209 77th St w/ beer & hard seltzers if you would like to grab one to enjoy at the beach. For transparency’s sake, alcohol is technically not allowed on the beach but the spirit of the rule is to prevent big drunken parties. No glass containers.
Henna Night

As part of the wedding festivities, it is tradition for Egyptian women to have a Henna Night, or Laylat Al-hinna, for the bride and her family and friends to decorate her hands & feet with intricate, traditional henna designs. The Henna paste symbolizes good health & prosperity in marriage, and in some cultures, the darker the henna stain, the deeper the love between two individuals. We will have traditional Egyptian fare for dinner and there will be a Henna artist available throughout the gathering. If you are staying on the island you can catch the FREE Island MCAT AMI trolley to the Gulf Drive/78th St or Palm/76th St stops (timetable: https://tinyurl.com/AMI-Trolley-Schedule). If you are off the island or prefer to drive, you can park in the driveways of 206, 207, 209, and 211 77th St. (Overflow parking at CrossPointe Fellowship (8605 Gulf Dr, Holmes Beach) which is a 5-10 minute walk from the houses, golf carts available to shuttle folks if needed.

Casual
Wood-fired pizza party with all the best people, drinks, yard games and a post party walk to the beach for sunset for anyone who’s interested. How to get there? If you are staying on the island you can catch the FREE Island MCAT AMI trolley to the Gulf Drive/78th St or Palm/76th St stops (timetable can be found here: https://tinyurl.com/AMI-Trolley-Schedule). If you are off the island or prefer to drive, you can park at CrossPointe Fellowship (8605 Gulf Dr, Holmes Beach) which is a 5-10 minute walk from the houses. We will have two golf carts to transport guests going back and forth from the parking area to the houses starting at 4:45 pm. Golf carts will remain out front for the duration to transport folks back to their cars when ready.

Shore Dr., Sarasota (Faltas residence) Stop 2 (4:35 pm): Golden Host Resort 4675 N. Tamiami Trail Stop 3 (4:45 pm): Sarasota Modern 1290 Blvd. of the Arts At the end of the night there will be one trolley available around 9:30 pm to make some drop offs if needed. All three trolleys will be available at 11:00 pm to drop folks off at their respective stops. There is ample parking at the venue and there should be clear signs directing you to the ceremony location.
