FAQs

A prudent question is one-half of wisdom -Francis Bacon
Question

What COVID-19 precautions are you taking?

Answer

For the safety of all of our loved ones, we are requesting that all of our guests be fully vaccinated to attend. Weather permitting, we'll be holding events outdoors (but you're always welcome to go indoors for a breeze of A/C).

Question

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

We love your little ones! Unfortunately, given the small guest count, we cannot accomodate them in our wedding. For those traveling with children, we will be providing childcare for the duration of the wedding.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

For the ceremony and reception we request cocktail attire. Please note that the events will be outdoors, so we recommend lightweight fabrics. For the welcome dinner on Friday feel free to dress up or dress down, whatever makes you feel comfortable.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We are currently working on transportation options for those without a car. Though there is Uber (theoretically) available on the island, it might take a while to get a ride at night. If you will be needing a ride to and from the ceremony, please let us know. Also, check the travel page for taxi suggestions.

Question

Wait, I'm confused, you said the wedding is in Amelia Island, but everything is actually in Fernandina Beach. What's the deal?

Answer

We're glad you asked. We're confused too. Amelia Island is the name of an island off of the northeast tip of Florida. Fernandina Beach is the name of the town that encompasses most of Amelia Island and bits outside the island as well.
