We're both very thankful for God bringing us together in his timing and in his way. We met online through eHarmony in April 2019. Both of us have been online dating for a few months at this point, so when it comes to viewing profiles we each had our own screening process' down to a pat. We both were looking for people who had Christ at the center of their lives. We both saw this quality in our profiles, so naturally we sent smiles to each other on eHarmony (Abe sent the first smile). Smiles led to text messages, then to phone calls and finally to IRL dates. Our first date was a coffee date at Mishka's, a café in downtown Davis. That date was about 3 hours long, which it didn't seem that long to be honest. Our next date was our first dinner date and that was 4.5 hours long, we had to end the date because the restaurant was closing! We dated for about a month before we became 'official'. After a little over 8 months of being 'official' Abe popped the question on February 15th at UC Davis' Arboretum. We look forward to getting married on September 19th and to start a new chapter in our lives. Neither of us ideally wanted to meet our future spouse through online dating, but we both had to pray and surrender this idea to God, and he showed us that this it was His will that we met online. We spent years dating in the conventional way without finding our future spouse, but now in less than a year of starting online dating we were engaged and started wedding planning! We are very thankful and blessed, and we give God all the credit and glory! Amen.
