I met Anthony (Marcellino's identical twin brother) first. (Maybe you already see where this is going). And Anthony and I were friends...or so I thought. These scheming twins decided to switch places at the church where Anthony worked (my home church). After 15 minutes of innocent conversation with who I "thought" was Anthony, Marcellino revealed their conniving plot. I was simultaneously appalled and impressed. Then we were friends for two years, dated for over four, and now we're getting married, so I guess you can say the wound is still fresh, but I'm sure I'll get over it eventually. - Augusta, the better half
On a camping trip in the hill country of the great country of Texas, Lino and I just so happened to be staying at our old stomping grounds (another conniving plot by the sly twin). When we first became friends, we had what some would call a "moment" at the Lake Travis campground, and others (myself) would call "purely platonic friendship." Little did I know. Lino took me aside in the middle of the trip for some alone time at our old spot on a cliff overlooking the lake, and we reflected on our past selves while rain drizzled and a lightning storm dazzled the sky. Next thing I know, Lino is waxing poetic (not uncommon), and at the end proposes by saying, "Will you marry me or would you like your tea first?" (a la Peter Pan). Completely caught by surprise and overjoyed, I replied, "Tea first!" We can't wait to celebrate the beginning of our next adventure with you!
