Hello Family and Friends! We have not made any changes to our scheduled plan yet, but depending on what the coming weeks look like, it is very possible that we will need to. Our hope is to make a final plan by May 15th. Regardless of how this all plays out; we still will get married on June 27th. If needed, we will invite you to join the ceremony virtually, and the reception would be rescheduled for a later date. With so many guests traveling from out-of-state, we understand that this uncertainty has created a challenge in booking flights and accommodations. This pandemic was unforeseeable, and we will not be offended if you cannot attend whether that be for health, financial, personal reasons, etc. We want nothing more than for all of our family and friends to stay safe and healthy, so we will make changes and adapt our plans accordingly. The most prevalent update we have for you right now is if you already booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express (where the reception shuttle will be picking up/dropping off), you might want to consider booking a cancelable room at the other hotel on our website (Hampton Inn Fall River Westport) as well. The Holiday Inn is under construction, but due to COVID-19, the construction has stopped temporarily. It is unclear whether it will be open in time. If it is not up and running in time, we will have the shuttle pick up/drop off at the Hampton Inn instead. Please feel free to reach out to either of us with questions or concerns. Although we are a little disappointed that everything may not go to plan, we are still in good spirits and excited to get married…it will certainly be a story to share with our kids one day! We have been mildly impacted by all of the changes happening around the world, and we are feeling very blessed to have each other, our jobs, our health, and incredibly supportive family and friends. Stay home and stay healthy! We hope to see you all very soon. Love, Abbi and Brian
Abbi and Brian met in 2013 at Westfield State University at a halloween party. Brian was dressed as Goose, from Top Gun, and Abbi as a generic military woman. Abbi, never having seen Top Gun, assumed Brian was dressed as a generic military man and exclaimed they had to get a picture together. And the rest is history... Just kidding! It was a slow road for Abbi and Brian in the beginning. They went on occassional dates and saw each other in passing on campus. As they started to inch closer to a relationship, Abbi left Westfield to study abroad for 5 months. Upon her return to school, they started seeing each other again through out the spring semester. After a few months of casual dates, Abbi and Brian, finally, officially became girlfriend and boyfriend at the end of summer 2015. And from that point on, the rest is history! After three years together, Brian asked Abbi to become his wife on October 20th, 2018. They are excited to start their journey together as husband and wife on June 27th, 2020.
