Abigail and Tyler first met at Tallowood Baptist Church in August of 2014. Then in August of 2016 we both moved to Waco, Abigail to attend Baylor University and Tyler to attend Truett Seminary. However, our friendship was not firmly established until September 17, 2016, the day Tyler got a puppy. In the following weeks Abigail and her friends frequently visited Tyler and his puppy, Ruby. After several months of texting back and forth to arrange play dates with Ruby, we finally admitted the visits had little to do with the dog. On December 14, 2016 we went on our first date, which was mostly successful. The next few months consisted of us awkwardly trying to figure out where our relationship stood. Then on February 18, 2017, after watching Tyler’s solid performance as an assistant coach in a 4th and 5th grade church basketball league, Abigail finally agreed to date Tyler. Over the next three years we grew closer together over countless Tri-Delta events, Baylor football games, studying together, and eating at our favorite restaurants. Abigail and Tyler’s chemistry and compatibility was evident as we became one of the best coach-quarterback duos in Baylor Tri-Delta intramural flag football history. Both individually and together as a couple we are beyond blessed by the growth, memories, and, most importantly, friendships that we formed in Waco while attending Baylor. In January Tyler bought a ring and began making plans to ask Abigail to marry him. After speaking with Abigail’s parents, the proposal was set for March 27. Time seemed to have slowed down for Tyler as he nervously awaited the big day. Then due to the Covid pandemic, he would have to wait even longer. Finally, on May 15, 2020 Tyler asked Abigail to marry him. She said yes! We are overjoyed to begin our life together in Houston and cannot wait to celebrate our marriage with you on March 14, 2021.
