After more than year of being engaged, we decided that we weren't going to let COVID-19 get in the way of our love. We got married in a small intimate ceremony by the beach at the Indiana Dunes. Abby and Kevin first met each other in the dining halls at the University of Illinois. After discovering they were both accounting majors, they started studying together and quickly became good friends as they navigated their way through college. During those years they spent countless hours together cramming for exams, watching movies, and making late-night Denny's runs. Somehow, the two of them ended up working at the same company after graduating college. As they continued to hang out together, their friendship began transforming into something more, and eventually the unthinkable occurred - Kevin asked Abby out on a date. Depending on what you knew about their relationship, you probably reacted one of two ways when you first heard the news: 1. About time! 2. What?? Why?! Even to the two of them, their relationship is a perplexing one, often appearing nonsensical in the face of their vastly different personalities while at other times making perfect sense as they discover how well each complements the other. Hoping to make the most of their synergies and conquer their incongruities, Kevin thought it would be a good idea to spend the rest of his life working these things out together. In order to get Abigail on board with this insane idea, he spent an exorbitant sum of money on a chunk of compressed carbon and lured her to a very tall mountaintop to distract her as she made the biggest commitment of her life. In an astonishing display of what can only be described as divine providence, she said yes to his crazy proposition- and here we are.
