Officiant
Our pastor has been an important person in our lives since the beginning of our relationship. He welcomed Zane with open arms to the church and made him feel right at home. His support and guidance have meant the world to us and we couldn't think of a more perfect person to marry us!
Wedding Coordinator
Terri has always supported me through my worship journey at the church. She helped me realize how important my talent is and encouraged me to use it. I was even able to put my other talents to use at church to help others. Her continuous support means a lot to me and I knew that she would be perfect to help make our wedding come true.
Bible Godparents
The Bride and Groom are gifted a Bible underlining the importance of faith and prayer in the couple’s life together. Oscar and Rosa are a strong spiritual couple at our church who have shown us the importance as Christians to walk together in faith as a couple.
Lasso Godparents
The lasso ceremony is where a decorative rope is placed around the couple's shoulders in a figure-eight shape after they exchange vows to symbolize their unbreakable bond, unity and eternal love. Maria and Alex have a strong bond which allows them to work together through any obstacles that come their way.
Las Arras Godparents
Las Arras (the coin) ceremony is where the groom presents the bride with 13 gold coins, representing Jesus and his 12 apostles, symbolizing his commitment to provide for their future and her promise to care for him. We've always admired Ramon's commitment to provide for his family and Maribel's devotion to care for her family.
Unity Candle Godparents
A unity candle ceremony is where two individual taper candles are used to light a central larger candle, representing the new, unified life the couple will share while also symbolizing the joining of two lives and families. Papa Gil and Nana's welcoming demeanor shows that they understand the importance of acceptance when unifying two families.
Hand-fasting Godparent
A hand-fasting ceremony is a symbolic unity ritual where a couple's hands are bound together with cords or ribbons to represent their commitment to each other. Mimi is such an important person in our lives. She supports our talents, decisions, and commitment to each other.
Rings Godparent
A ring ceremony is the part of a wedding where the couple exchanges wedding rings, a tradition symbolizing their unending love and commitment. Mi abuelita Justina has expressed her everlasting love to her late husband which makes her part in this ceremony even more special.
Flower Girl
Sarai is one of Abi's youngest nieces. She's a sweet and kind girl.
Ring Bearer
Caleb is Abi's youngest nephew. He admires Zane so much!
Man of Honor
Abel is my younger and only brother. As the sister who spent the most time with him, I felt as though it was my responsibility to protect and guide him through life. I watched him persevere through every obstacle that he's been thrown and grow into the amazing young man that he has become.
Best Man
Kason is my little brother and my best friend. He will be the Best Man at our wedding and I couldn't have picked anyone better. He might be annoying and do dumb things at times but I couldn't have gotten any luckier with having him as a brother.
Bridesmaid
Mayling is one of my best friends. She has always supported me throughout my education, work and relationship. Mayling encouraged me from the start to go for it with Zane and thus here we are today!
Groomsman
Rafael is Mayling's partner which resulted in him becoming friends with the both of us. We've gone on multiple double dates and became close friends all together.
Bridesmaid
Sarah is our old manager from Crumbl (where Zane and I met) and sparked our relationship. After an outing with coworkers, both of us basically confessed to Sarah that we had developed feelings for each other and she told us individually that we liked one another. This gave us the green light to continue talking to each other and developed our relationship.
Groomsman
Derek has been a great friend from middle school all the way through high school. Our shared passion for cars has brought us closer. We continue our strong friendship to this day and I think of him as a brother.
Bridesmaid
Jasmin is Zane's sister. It means a lot to me that Zane had a female influence, aside from his mother, to grow up with him. I have no doubt that Zane is the sweet, caring and respectful man that he is because of their influence.
Groomsman
I believe I met Naheem in high school although it could've been middle school. He is also one of my best friends, and the Air Force is lucky to have him. I'm glad to say that he is like a brother to me.
Bridesmaid
Maria is one of my friends from my old church. She watched me grow up in the church since I was ten. I've always looked up to her as a spiritual sister. Once I joined the worship team, we sang together for years and became even closer. There has never been a dull moment with her. She's always so bubbly, positive and will make you laugh even when she isn't feeling her best.
Groomsman
I met Lucas in high school through Derek and he's also been a great friend of mine. Over the years we've bonded over cars and photography, and I'd call him my brother.
Bridesmaid
Xitlali is my first niece. She has grown into a wonderful young lady. It's been an honor watching her grow, even from afar, into someone who understands the importance of family, love, education and financial stability. I'm very proud of her.
Groomsman
Justin is another friend I have met through Derek. Over the years of knowing him, we've gotten closer, and I also consider him as my brother.
Bridesmaid
Esme is another one of my older nieces. Again, it's been an honor watching her grow, even from afar. But even then, I know that she's a compassionate and responsible young lady and am so proud of her.
Groomsman
Paul is yet another friend of mine that I met through Derek in high school. Over the years we've known each other and gotten closer. I'd consider him as a brother.
