They always say, you’ll meet “the one” when you least expect it; little did I know, February 23, 2016 was that day. Tyler & I met at one of my best friend’s 21st birthday gathering in the heart of Aggieland. It wasn’t until our first date, Tyler mentioned he appreciated my lay back style (little did he know), shortly after, I spilled the beans that I had pink eye the night we met! Still to this day, Tyler believes it was love at first sight even with pink eye (aww). We continued dating for a few months then decided to take some time apart right before Tyler deployed to Djibouti for 11 months. It was not God’s timing for us. During that period of time, I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2017 & moved back to DFW. Upon Tyler’s return home, it was football season in Aggieland— Can I get a Whoop Aggies!? September 8, 2018, our love for Aggie football & each other had sparked once again... we’ve been inseparable ever since. Once Tyler completed his associates degree & secured a job, he booked his one way ticket to Ft. Worth, it’s easy to say I was pretty proud of this man. You’ll catch me saying “it was always Tyler”, but, little did I know, the best was yet to come! October 30, 2020, Tyler went above & beyond, got down on one knee & asked me to marry him! Tyler proposed at my aunt & uncle’s lakehouse where I had made many memories growing up, & now, an even sweeter memory that will have the most special place in my heart. After saying the easiest YES of my life, our family & friends came out of hiding and congratulated us! I was so surprised when he proposed & even more surprised he planned the most special night with our closest family & friends! Our hearts were filled with so much love & we’re eternally so grateful, I still feel like the luckiest girl in the world! As special as this day was for us, we want to remember it forever. So, it was only ideal we planned our wedding date on the same day. God’s timing is everything! October 30, 2021, lets do this!
