October 28, 2021 — a rainy day at Tropical Smoothie. There I was, making two Bahama Mamas, and as nosy as I am, I peeked through the small window, and there he was: Tim. I tried to fix my hair as best I could, but nothing beats a hot-pink visor (HOT!). Next thing I knew, I was walking over to him, handing him his smoothie, shaking; and as I looked up, there he was, smiling, and he said, “Thank you — have a good day.” That is when I knew I needed to know who he was. One Snapchat add later, and a long — no, a LONG — seven months of “just friends” (not my idea) finally led to him deciding that we weren’t meant to be just friends anymore. On March 28, 2022, he asked me to be his girlfriend. FINALLY! Flash forward two and a half years later: through the trials, the God-given hurdles we have faced together, and the long conversations about the future, Tim asked me to marry him on June 28, 2024 — the best day of our lives. “Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate” (Mark 10:9). Now, we are here at the next best day of our lives, which we get to share with you: our wedding on April 25, 2026. We would not be where we are today — in this life and in this next chapter together — without God. From the very beginning, we have centered our relationship around Him, leaning on His Word: “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:12). We truly believe that our love is strongest because it is built on Christ. We are so excited for the next chapter that is currently being written. As Ephesians 5:25 reminds us, “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” That is the love we strive for every day. We cannot wait for you to be a part of this story — one written by God’s hand. Now, let’s get married! #LetsgetMaynard
