Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Abigail Bauer and Steven Tobias
We're so excited to share a few of our favorite places/things to do on the island! Check out the recommendations below! DAY TRIPS - type "bus stop" into Google Maps - Soller (the mountain village next to the Port, take the historic tram ride into town - https://trendesoller.com/eng/routes/tram) - Deia (another fantastic mountain town 30 minutes from the Port that also has access to a beautiful rocky beach) - Palma (the capital of Mallorca, we will have a group trip there on Wednesday to explore the city) HIKE - Google the GR221 in Mallorca - this is an 86 mile hike that has various small sections that are great for day trips! BOAT RENTAL - In the Port, you have the option to rent a boat and explore more of the island. Get a group and get out on the water! Some boating experiences include gear to snorkel and a paddle board. SCOOTER RENTAL - Not a fan of the bus? Rent a Vespa for the day and take a trip to any of the nearby towns. Be prepared for some mountainous driving!
Palma de Mallorca

Palma de Mallorca

Palma, 1B 07001, Spain

Information: This is where Steven used to live in Mallorca! Absolutely stunning capital city w/ the highlight being the cathedral built in the 1200's! This is a great city to just walk around in and enjoy the beauty of a traditional Spanish city. Transportation: Abby and Steven will be providing transportation from the Port de Soller on Wednesday, September 27th for a fun day trip for anyone who is interested. More information to come but this will be self guided (see recommendations below) and will have a set pick up and drop off time. Recommendations: Catedral-Basílica de Santa María de Mallorca - STUNNING cathedral in the heart of Palma. Walk around and check out the Guinness House across the water for coffee/beer. (https://goo.gl/maps/xhNiUzUjk8RFfuqd8) Castell de Bellver - A beautiful castle in Palma with a fantastic view of the ocean (https://goo.gl/maps/63FWiWfHH6ufWRfi7) Anima Beach Palma - Fantastic place for lunch on the beach! Valldemossa

Valldemossa

Valldemossa, IB 07170, Spain

Information: This is one of the most beautiful villages on the island - located in the mountains a 45 minute bus ride from Port De Soller. If you go to one town on Mallorca, make it this one! When you arrive in the town, there is a map of popular things to do and is a great place to spend a few hours in an absolutely stunning, historic place. Grab a cup of coffee in the plaza and enjoy the laid back life of Mallorca. Transportation: To get here, take the 203 bus from the Port de Soller (schedule can be found here - https://www.tib.org/en/linies-i-horaris/autobus/-/linia/203) and the trip costs about $5 per person. Here is the bus stop location in the Port (https://goo.gl/maps/TtGUeS6gNPuF33FS9). Popular hikes to do: Valldemossa to Deia - strenuous but awesome! (https://www.alltrails.com/trail/spain/mallorca/valldemossa-deia-via-gr-221?u=i) Puig des Pou - moderate w/ fantastic views! Sóller

Sóller

Sóller, IB 07100, Spain

Information: Soller is the neighboring town to where we will be all staying! Beautifully located in the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range and an easy half-day trip from the Port de Soller. Transportation: Highly recommend taking the tram from the Port de Soller to this town. It is an old historic tram that takes you into town with beautiful views along the way! (https://trendesoller.com/eng/routes/tram) Things to do/hikes: Have a beer or coffee in the plaza ! Great people watching spot to see the day to day of how Mallorquin people live! (https://goo.gl/maps/mXv3rDVn4cjv2Kh26) Hike to Fornalutx - a moderate, incredible hike to a beautiful town called Fornalutx and Biniaraix (https://www.alltrails.com/trail/spain/mallorca/soller-fortnalux-biniaraix?u=i) Soller to Port de Soller - an easy hike back to the Port de Soller. Recommend taking the tram to Soller and then walking back! (https://www.alltrails.com/trail/spain/mallorca/soller-port-de-soller?u=i)

For all the days along the way
