Here is some information for our out-of-town guests. We hope that you are looking forward to the wedding and to your stay in The Big Easy! The first thing we need to mention is that there is a large festival going on in the French Quarter that weekend entitled Southern Decadence. You will probably need to make reservations well ahead of time, and you may want to avoid Downtown and the Quarter, especially if you have children with you. There are myriads of hotels in the French Quarter and Downtown, if that is where you want to be, but I would recommend looking at some of these hotels Uptown and in other areas first. There are more affordable hotels in Metairie and elsewhere (I would avoid New Orleans East and Gentilly), but these are not in the historic areas. We are providing a variety of prices and locations so that you can choose what suits you and your family. If none of these suggestions suit, try searching "Uptown New Orleans" on VRBO or AirBnb!
