We met at Yelm High School almost seven years ago in Drama class!

Back then, Matthew was one of the only people with a car - "the creeper van" as my stepdad would call the 2007 gold Kia Sedona. He would often pick up and drive me and our friends to parks and fast food stores around town. While dropping me off after hanging out at a park with friends one night, he asked me one very important question: "Ever wondered what pennies taste like?" Actually, that wasn't the important question, but it did lead up to it: "Will you go on a date with me?" So glad I said yes to the silly and nervous guy in the creeper van that night. ~ Abigail

On New Years Eve 2021 at just about 10:50pm, Matthew gave a beautiful speech in front our families that ended with him down on one knee. It was such a great night and I'm so happy that he made sure my mom, grandma, grandpa and even my great grandma Miller were all there. ~ Abigail
