LIC Brewery Crawl

LIC Brewery Crawl

Long Island City, NY 11101

A few great breweries are located along a two-mile trail in Long Island City. Try to visit all five! 1: LIC Beer Project: We actually haven't been here yet! Maybe you'll beat us to it. 2: ICONYC: Great outdoor space, kid-friendly, BYOS (Bring Your Own Snacks). 3: Big Alice: Lots of outdoor tables and sample size beers. 4. Fifth Hammer: Awesome atmosphere and a great variety of beer. They usually have a food truck outside on the weekends. 5. Rockaway Brewing: Limited seating, but tasty brews.

Astoria: Our Neighborhood Haunts

Astoria: Our Neighborhood Haunts

Astoria, NY 11106

We have lived together in Astoria for five years and still consider it a hidden gem of NYC. Here are some of our favorite spots to visit and things we recommend doing while you're in town: - Grab brunch at Oliver's - Have a flight at Singlecut Brewery - Visit the Museum of the Moving Image - Have a picnic in Astoria Park (where we got engaged!) - Pick up cookies at Chip City - Grab dinner and a drink. You can't go wrong no matter where you choose, but some of our favorites: Shared plates at The Shady Lady, creative cocktails and American comfort food at The Bonnie, Creole and seafood at Sugar Freak, or traditional greek food at Bahari.

Ferry Favorites

Ferry Favorites

Center Blvd & 46th Ave, Long Island City, NY 10044

We love taking the ferry to get around the city whenever we can. Tickets cost $2.50 one-way and give you amazing views of the city you won't see while on the subway. If you get the chance to head out on the water you won't regret it! The closest terminal is Long Island City Terminal. Jump on the Astoria Route boat heading to Wall Street Pier 11 to get the full experience. Grab a glass of wine or a cold beer while enjoying the 30-minute ride. Once off at Wall Street there are some awesome things to see just a short walk away. Visit the NYSE to take a photo with The Fearless Girl statue, visit the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, see the Statue of Liberty from afar. At the end of the day grab a cocktail at The Dead Rabbit (voted the #1 best bar in the WORLD) and get pizza at Adrienne's Pizza Bar.
