In case you don't know as much about us as you might like, here is a little overview! Justin and Abby's life is always a balancing act. Justin is currently working full-time as a Business Administrator for the Counseling Department at TAMUC where both are students. He also spends time managing Sulphur Springs' bowling alley. Justin is studying social work and wants to pursue a career in that field after he has obtained his master's. He came into the relationship with a bonus, his son Jaxson who is eight. Abby is a full-time student, working a part-time job in the university's career development center. She is studying history and English with plans to instruct at a university after she has obtained her doctorate. The two love travel and want to explore the world together.
Justin and I are always debating about this, because he is convinced that I was his server once while I was working at Ihop when he came in with his brother and a friend, but I insist it never happened because there is no way I would forget such an obnoxious group of men. The more scandalous story most people know, he was my boss at the bowling alley. After working there for a year, I decided I was going to take some time away, start working a lot less, to focus on school. After going for a run at Coleman Park one day, I was pulling out of the parking lot, headed home, and I noticed Justin was there walking. I drove away, but after moment, decided to turn around and join Justin on his walk. We met for another walk the next day and it wasn't long before he asked me out on a date.
One of Justin and I's first walks together was around the Sulphur Springs square. He had just a bowled a perfect game and wanted to tell me all about it. It was during this walk together that we both realized there was something really special going on between us. For the proposal, Justin brought me back to the square. We sat together on a park bench and we talked about that night. I already knew it was coming, we had already started wedding planning, and I had teased him about how he would propose. We both agreed that he couldn't tie the ring to our dog's collar because she would eat it. While we were sitting there talking, he started digging in his bag (of course I knew something was going on when he brought his big backpack with him) and he pulled out a stuffed puppy with a note and a ring tied around its neck reading "Because we both know Sesi would have eaten it..." I already knew it was coming, but I got teary-eyed anyway.
Justin and I are by no means a traditional couple and our wedding will not be the most traditional either. We have decided to kill two birds with one stone and plan an unforgettable elopement in the location of our honeymoon, Ireland! Unfortunately, as we are both poor college students, this means it will be a very private ceremony. We do plan on holding a reception in Texas shortly after we get back so that we an share our experience with our family and friends.
