So while I do have a wildly successful Bachelor/Bachelorette weekly recap I have never been considered a wordsmith and I have really struggled to use my words good and write this, there’s so much to tell! Depending on the day you talk to Abby or me, we may start ‘our story’ in different places and certainly would hit different notes; there’s a long version and then an even longer version and a whole lot of tangents. Some facts: Abby and I originally met at Furman circa 2012-ish, started dating in October of 2015, and got engaged on May 6th, 2019 in NYC! We really began talking summer of 2015, I was living in Atlanta, Abby was about to move down to start Grad School at Emory and somehow I was sort of invited to Bonarroo Music Festival. Yada yada, Abby hasn’t been able to get rid of me since...the yada yada has been about 4 years and includes me living on 3 different continents, Abby in 2 different states, countless hours of facetime, thousands of texts, several fantastic vacations (Ireland, Germany, France, South Korea, Thailand), me talking Abby out of at least 10 new pets, discovering Uno as our favorite card game (and only game we play well as a couple), a couple hundred miles singing musicals at the top of our lungs in 6 different cars (RIP Stacey and Louise, barely street legal cars I had in Germany and Korea) and at least one exclamation from a rooftop “I love my best friend, Hank”! -Justin Justin used all the space with his words. But what I will say is that he wasn't what I was expecting but he has been exactly what I needed for the past 4 years. Justin snuck up on me, he played the long game and I will be forever thankful for that. I am so lucky that I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. -Abby
