After years of on-and-off flirting through various social media outlets, Justin and Abby finally met in person at a graduation party in July of 2023. After several months of navigating through life’s adventures together, Justin knew he wanted to make Abby his forever partner. With the help of family, friends, and God’s perfect timing, Justin was able to devise a plan that would guarantee Abby’s hand in marriage. He convinced her that he had picked up overtime for his company on a Saturday that, coincidentally, their entire family had flown into town for. He arranged for his cousin to have Abby meet up with his mother and aunt at the Oberlin Hotel for a “girl’s brunch”’while Abby’s family prepared their home for the celebration— all unbeknownst to her. With the clever wordplay of his cousin, she was summoned up to the 4th floor of the hotel in perfect dress attire and makeup without a hint of suspicion. When she opened the door, much to her surprise, Justin was standing before her with a handful of flowers and a diamond ring. It may have set a world record for fastest “I Do’s” ever proposed. The two are happily engaged and looking so forwardly to celebrating a long life of matrimony with their friends and family.
