It was during the trials of the Coronavirus, that Joshua first spoke to Abigail. He shared his desire of wanting to take her to see the St Joseph Christmas lights along the beach. The lights of St. Joseph are truly one of the greatest winter treasures, beautiful and resplendent, calming and romantic, especially in wintertime. But alas, due to COVID, they were not able to see them. For they were worried about contracting the virus, or worse, spreading the sickness to their families. They continued to court safely. The months turned to years, and the couple had yet to see the lights. One magnificent night, Joshua invited Abigail to his sister's concert. It was near the lights the couple had so fantasized about, so they took time to walk through them on their way to the scheduled event. Abigail saw the lights from a distance and marveled at their beauty. She even noticed a lone, entrancing gazebo that was covered in lights, a banner hanging, flowers, and even candles. It was a wonder. She began to ponder aloud at the lucky woman who had been blessed with such a wonderful man to have planned such a stunning proposal. Little did Abigail know. They walked closer and closer until Joshua suggested walking up to it to take in the view more closely. Abby told Josh that she would never want to impose on something as romantic and beautiful as that. What if the lucky woman came by as they were intruding? You probably can imagine how this story continues, right? As Josh convinced Abby closer, they centered themselves in the gazebo. Josh took a knee as he stared into his wonderful Lady’s eyes. He proposed to her. She was so happy that she couldn’t speak clearly, so she kissed him and professed her love to him. Placing the ring on her finger, she told him how wonderful he is. Eventually, Josh asked, "Does all this mean, 'Yes'?" Well, of course, it did. And to anyone wondering, “well is there a Happy Ever After?” It definitely looks that way.
