Why a Leelanau County wedding?

Answer

Abigail's family has been living in Leelanau County for eight consecutive generations now! We are honored to celebrate our marriage in a place filled with such history and love.

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

We have chosen Starry Night Barn & Studios, a beautiful historic barn located in Leelanau County, surrounded by vineyards and stunning countryside views. The venue offers both indoor and outdoor spaces for the ceremony and reception.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guests are encouraged to arrive between 2:30–2:45 PM to allow time for parking and seating. The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 PM.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Guests are invited to wear garden party attire. Our venue includes grassy outdoor spaces, so we recommend skipping heels and dressing for comfort and the changing Northern Michigan weather. Please avoid white, ivory, or cream.

Where should I stay?

Answer

A room block has been secured at Leelanau Sands Casino & Lodge for our wedding guests. View the Lodging and Travel page for more information. We recommend booking early, as availability is limited. We also encourage guests to stay in Leelanau County for an additional day or two to enjoy the region’s wineries, beaches, and charming lakeside towns.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, to accommodate guest availability, kiddos are welcome! We just ask that they stay supervised at all times - especially near the bar and dance floor. If they get a little too enthusiastic, please feel free to step aside for a quick break so everyone can enjoy the celebration.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is limited on-site parking at the barn. Carpooling is always appreciated!

Will transportation from the venue be available?

Answer

If you plan on staying at the Leelanau Sands Casino & Lodge, transportation to and from the venue will be provided! Pick up times from Leelanau Sands Casino & Lodge: 2:15, 2:30, 2:45pm Last drop off from the venue: 10:30pm

Can I take an Uber?

Answer
