FAQs

The Wedding Website of Abigail Vilcheck and Henry Mordica
Question

What is the venue like?

Answer

The historic Rust Manor House is part of the Northern VA Parks system, and is nestled in a 68-acre nature sanctuary. The facility is ADA compliant, including a ramp and accessible parking. The ceremony will be outside with cocktail hour inside/outside the house and the reception in the tent.

Question

Can you provide more information about the dress code?

Answer

Guests are invited to wear garden cocktail or semi-formal attire. For women, this could mean a cocktail dress, midi or maxi dress, a jumpsuit with heels or dressy flats, etc. We recommend bringing flat shoes, since the ceremony will be in the grass. For men, this could mean a suit and tie, dress pants and a collared shirt, etc. Most importantly, we want you to be comfortable!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony and plan to leave the reception?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:30pm, so we kindly ask guests to arrive around or before 4:15pm. The reception will end at 10:30pm. To ensure a smooth and stress-free arrival to the venue, please plan for extra travel time. Northern Virginia traffic can be unpredictable, so we recommend checking Waze or Google Maps for ahead of time and real-time updates.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! Parking is available on site, and you can leave your car there overnight if needed. There are also plenty of Ubers available in the area; if you plan to take Uber/Lyft, consider scheduling pickup ahead of time.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a request?

Answer

Absolutely—if you have a food allergy, please let us know as soon as possible. There will also be an option with your RSVP. We'll do the best we can to accommodate dietary needs.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding and reception will be an adults-only celebration. Thank you for understanding!
