You’ll find many great places to stay in Portsmouth, Middletown, and Newport. We also have room blocks at two Middletown hotels that are especially convenient for our wedding weekend. For more information, please see the “Travel” page on our website.
Our dress code is black tie optional. Long gowns and tuxedos are great, but summer formal dresses and suits are also welcome!
The night before dress code is cocktail attire. Cocktail dresses and sport coats are wonderful. Dress pants and dress shirt are also appropriate!
Trolley transportation will be provided for guests staying at The Pell and East Island Reserve. Trolleys will transport guests to St. Barnabas Church for the ceremony, then to Glen Manor House for the reception, and back to the hotels at the end of the evening. If you'd like to keep the celebration going, stay on the trolley after the reception for transportation to Diego's in Newport for the after-party! Please visit the Travel page for the full transportation schedule.
Due to limited capacity, we are only able to welcome the guests formally listed on your wedding invitation. If a plus-one has been included, it will be noted on your envelope and on your RSVP. We truly appreciate your understanding.
To allow all guests to fully enjoy the evening, we have chosen to host an adults-only celebration. Consider it a well-deserved parents’ night out!
The Night Before: Our celebration takes place primarily indoors, with open doors (weather permitting) allowing you to enjoy the patio and the surrounding vineyard views at your leisure. The Ceremony: Please be seated inside St. Barnabas Church as we exchange our vows. Cocktail Hour: Step outside (weather permitting) and enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while exploring the patio, covered terrace, and gardens of Glen Manor. Reception: Join us inside for a sit-down dinner, followed by an evening of dancing and celebration!
