Abby became friends with Geoff’s sister, Vicky, in 2019. Over time, Abby heard plenty of stories about Vicky’s older brother, Geoff, while Geoff also kept hearing little bits about Abby. Somehow, though, they always seemed to just miss meeting each other. Then one day, God decided it was finally time. They can’t remember the exact date, or even what the weather was like, but Abby remembers standing in the Rippon family kitchen when a tall, dark, and handsome man walked past her. Her heart instantly skipped a beat, and she remembers thinking, “Wow… is that Geoff?” From that moment on, Abby’s heart was never quite the same. Geoff, meanwhile, was immediately struck by Abby’s warmth and the way she could light up a room. His first thought, of course, was still, “She’s a dentist? She must be crazy.” 😉 What began as friendship soon grew into something much more, and not long after, they started dating. A few years later, Geoff took Abby to the breathtaking Kgalagadi, where he asked her to marry him. Since the moment they met, life together has been their greatest adventure. They cannot wait to say their “I do’s,” continue growing in faith, cheer each other on through every season of life, and, of course, make sure Abby receives limitless back scratches forever. 😉 Most of all, they are excited to keep choosing each other, through everything life has in store. 🤍
